let's try again

So, I've decided to give this whole blogging thing another go.  Partly 'cos I realized that I've not done a damn thing about this blog in over 10 years!  And partly 'cos a great friend of mine has just started a new adventure in a foreign land and he's decided to use a blog to document it.  

I'm not in a faraway land - far from it.  For the time being, I'm back living in Florida.  I'm not sure I quite expected to be back here (though all my stuff has been in a storage unit here for the past 2-plus years).  I mean, I knew I had to get back here eventually.  I'm just not sure how keen I am to be living here again.  But more on that later.  

Tomorrow night, I begin working at "Slate's", a new Cajun restaurant that is opening here in Cape Coral, FL.  In truth, I've been working for Slate's since the day I drove into town more than a month ago, but tomorrow will be our first night (officially) open.  I figure I'll have lots to say after tomorrow.
